I wrote the text for this brochure. The first panel says:
'People in Ontario and around the world are better off as a result of the strong partnership between the University of Guelph and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs with:
- Safer and higher-quality food
- A cleaner environment
- Better protection from plant and animal disease
- Industry profitability and growth
- Stronger rural communities.
This partnership was renewed in 2008, meaning the significant progress made in recent decades will continue well into the future.
Project
Ontario Market Investment Fund - 2008 to 2011. I was strategic communications lead on a team that launched and promoted a four-year, $12-million program aimed at encouraging Ontario commodity and community groups to market their food products. Duties included supplying MPPs with speaking notes, template news releases and key messages for milestone events in their local constituencies.
